Batik Batik

I made this double bed sized quilt in two weeks & burned dinner while in a quilt-making trance.  Once I started it, I couldn't stop until it was finished.  I used all batik scraps & simply cut squares -- 3-1/2" I think -- & placed them on the floor in a pleasing pattern, then started sewing.  This is one of the first backs that I made interesting.  And after this one, I now make almost all of my quilt backs pieced.  Machine pieced, machine quilted. September 2000.

  1. As with so many quilts you made in our Singapore time, this one inspired me to make a batik one as well. All your pictures bring back fond memories of the ANZA group. Thanks for sharing them all!
