Give the Dog A Bone

I made this small quilt (36" sq.) after learning a new technique to make "flying geese," a standard quilt pattern.  This one is three dimensional -- hard to see in this pix.  And the "sashiko" style stitching of the dog bone is actually a real Milk Bone that I traced around to get a perfect bone shape.  The black & white bone fabric matches the back of the Dalmation cross-stitched pillow.

  7. All the great comments -- I'm loving it! I didn't really make it for Teddy but rather after I got Teddy, I was in a dog frenzy & started buying fabrics suitable for dog-themed quilts. I'm in the process of making another dog-themed quilt -- this one has dog houses on it -- I have only the top finished at the moment -- I'll get right on it so I can post a pix of it.
