I "Heart" Green

Another Kaffe Fassett quilt.  I don't remember what his original one is called.  This one was made for an ANZA quilt challenge "One Color Quilt."  I think this particular challenge was my idea.  What was I thinking?  It was tougher that you might imagine but I guess that's the idea.  Get the creative juices flowing.  I do "heart" green so went w/that color.  This quilt is paper-pieced which is fun & easy to do.  Then I did both machine & hand-quilting.  It measures about 46" square.  I made it in June 2004.

  1. I 'heart' this one too! I remember this challenge and all the grumbling it evoked! Did you win a prize?

  2. No, I didn't win a prize -- I never won any prizes at the challenges. And I'm still kvetching about it. :)

  3. Love this one too, I guess I love all of them. Need to see it in person and then you can try to explain to me how it's made. Hopefully, it won't be long til my butt is in your house.

  4. As I was already in Shanghai by the time you had the one colour challenge, so I never saw this quilt. It's beautiful and you should have won a prize!

  5. I love your quilts - Your colors are rich and the designs so much fun. I would have loved to taken a course from Liza and Kaffe Fassett. I have been collecting some of Kaffe fabrics to make a quilt.
