Singapore Daze

I think I was in a daze when I tackled this quilt.  I had no idea what I was in for -- it's paper-pieced which is the easy part.  The hard part is sewing the curved edges to the curved edges.  Pins, pins & more pins is all I can say.  An experienced quilt friend who I met in Singapore helped me.  There are so many layers in this quilt that there was no way I was going to attempt to quilt it -- I was inexperienced at everything quilts at this point.  So I sent it off to Indonesia to be hand-quilted by ladies there who do the job quite nicely.  ~72" square; May 2000.
