Simple Quilt

Leftover fabric makes for a simple quilt! Measures ~36" x 40" -- will be a nice gift for a new baby.

Colorful Baby Blankie

Crocheted -- so colorful & small -- ~24" x 28" -- perfect for a car seat or stroller.

Bruce's Quilt

A paper-pieced quilt for our friend Bruce. It was too big for me to machine quilt it myself -- it's ~56" x 62" -- I sent it to Quilt Hollow for her expert long-arm machine quilting.
The theme of the quilt is anchors, stars -- for an ex-Navy guy. The quilting has stars & anchors, too. Hard to see in the pix.
The colors are navy, gray, light gold, off white, black.

Stella's 1st Birthday Quilt

The fabric used for Stella's 1st Birthday Quilt is called "Stella" -- how appropriate is that?!
A simple pattern, simply quilted by machine.

Zebra/Panda/Cow Blankie

I loved this yarn -- 100% merino wool from Wales -- lovely to crochet but I had an odd number of skeins so it turned out to be an odd size -- 37"x44" -- will keep it as a throw for chilly nights. Not sure why the edging is ripply but I kind of like it that way. Adds even more interest to the blankie.

J&J's Wedding Quilt

A wedding gift for a newly married couple. I chose these colors because it was a "down the shore" wedding in New Jersey. Turns out the bridesmaids wore navy & the mother-of-the-bride wore dark turquoise -- same colors I happened to use in this quilt! Lucky.
Each square is cut 2.5" -- I quilted "in the ditch" around each square.
Used a simple fabric for the back. Measures about 60" square. Hope they enjoy using it!

Mostly Black & White

First mostly black & white quilt for me. It was a lot of fun to make -- easy pattern but the assorted fabrics make it move. I made the border extra wide to add to the modern look.
The reverse side of the quilt. It measures about 66"x 78" -- Mary Flynn of Quilt Hollow did the long-arm machine quilting.

Elephants!

Both are crocheted -- the blue one was a free pattern I found online; the gray one I bought the pattern on Ravelry. Amigurumi animals are fun to make!
I used safety eyes for each elephant. They are supposed to hold up better than a simply sewn-on button. Time will tell.

Snowzilla 2016

Bob's blowing the 24+" of snow -- this snow storm broke the record for our area in Pennsylvania. It snowed for 36 hours & some areas got 30+" of snow.

After the snow storm, a gorgeous winter sunset.

Kanga & Joey Pillow

 Cross stitched pillow.

Christmas Pillow

Cross stitched pillow -- just in time for next Christmas.

Crocheted Basket

This was also a request from my daughter-in-law. I used crafting cord & a very large crochet hook -- I think it's size Q.
It measures ~10" around, more or less.
The crafting cord was tricky/difficult to work with because it's quite stiff. But I managed & she loves it.

Dan's Table Runner

Made this for a friend -- he requested a table runner using specific colors & making it a particular size for his table.
I did simple machine quilting to hold it all together.
The back looks like coffee beans!
